What is Wheel Alignment?
Wheel alignment refers to the angle of the wheel relative to the road.
The best position is at right angles so that the wheels sit flat against the ground. However, wheels drift inwards or outwards after consistent use, affecting the performance of your vehicle.
We correct any wheel alignment issues using advanced technology. It provides pinpoint accuracy to determine if there is an issue. Without correction, your wheels will wear out faster, and the handling and safety of your vehicle will be affected.
Common causes of incorrect wheel alignment include hitting the kerb, driving into a pothole, or excessive wear of the steering and suspension.
Why Wheel Alignment Matters
Your car’s wheels can move in four potential directions:
Toe: This refers to the direction the tyres are angled. When the front of the tyre points inward, it’s called “toe-in,” resulting in a reduced distance between the tyres at the front. Conversely, “toe-out” occurs when the fronts of the tyres angle outward, increasing the gap between them.
Camber: This is the tilt of the wheels relative to the road surface. A “negative camber” means the top of the tyre leans inward toward the car, while a “positive camber” indicates the top of the tyre angles outward, away from the car.
If the tyre’s alignment is affected in any way, it can impact the car’s suspension system.
Your vehicle relies on all four tyres facing forward and being flat against the road.
