How often should I check my tyre pressures?
Every two weeks as a minimum, and always before a long trip. Tyres lose pressure naturally over time, and cold weather drops it further. Check them when the tyres are cold, before you have driven more than a mile or two, because heat from driving raises the reading and gives you a false result. Use the pressures listed on the sticker inside your driver’s door, not the maximum figure printed on the tyre itself.
