Can a pothole-damaged tyre be repaired?

Sometimes, and it depends entirely on where the damage is. A puncture in the central tread area can usually be repaired safely to British Standard BS AU 159. Damage to the sidewall cannot be repaired, and a bulge in the sidewall means the internal cords have failed and the tyre must be replaced. We check before we recommend anything, and our puncture repair service means plenty of drivers keep a tyre they had written off.
